Detail Three of The Orange Acrobat - Front View; 2021, colored pencils, graphite pencils, charcoal pencils and pastels. In this detail the full emergence of the butterfly body is portrayed. It is a very fast fall from the chrysalis for the butterfly to totally emerge. The butterfly must be quick enough to grab hold of its chrysalis to stop from falling to the ground and becoming injured.
